Draping Final2018

While I was studying abroad at London College of Fashion, I took a draping techniques class. I learned how to drape basic tops, dresses, skirts, and even jackets. We also learned techniques to create different desired looks, like body con, cowl, and ruffles. At the end of the semester we were tasked with creating a look that was inspired by a person or character. I chose the Hawaiian Ocean Goddess, Pele. I have always loved the ocean, and I thought creating something for her to wear would be fun.  I designed a body con dress, with a crystal hanging trim on the top and a fluctuating ruffle on the bottom. I also created a skirt with an asymmetrical hemline, and cascading ruffles on the hem. To match the skirt, I designed a cowl neck tank top.
