I worked at Kohl's as an assistant denim designer on their Juniors targeted brand, So. I learned so much in this role, like the fundamentals of of denim design, the ability to work effectively with overseas vendors, providing clear and detailed design direction including fabric selection, stitch details, wash direction, and destruction layouts, and much more. I also began learning how to effectively present to leadership and cross functional teams in this role as well. Overall, this role helped me gain all the building blocks to be a successful creative designer in a large corporate company.
